The exception is coming from
SD.LLBLGen.Pro.LinqSupportClasses.LinqUtils.CreateEntityInstanceFromEntityType trying to create the base entities which shouldn't be happening so I need to filter out the base entities somehow.
But until then uncheck 'Use entity info rather then just reflection' in the connection dialog and the schema explorer population will behave as in v1.x.
