Can you run a query without expanding the schema explorer? If you can't that will give me a stack trace, otherwise you can attach your LLBL assembly(s) so I can reproduce the exception.
The schema explorer population was changed a lot in v2.0 driver so I'm not surprised things are different between that and v1.x.
